We are passionate about the craft of acting and are committed to further developing the unique potential of every actor who comes to our studio, providing them with a solid craft to enhance their work.

16th Street specialises in integrated and skills-based training. We believe actors can forge a career when they combine this training with creative aptitude, initiative and courage. With this belief in mind, we have crafted intensive courses for professional actors on a full-time and part-time basis.

To sustain a dynamic career, we believe artists must continue to grow and be challenged. As such, we provide professional development programs for experienced actors by way of on-going training and international masterclasses.

With most actors working in film and television in Australia, 16th Street offers programs exclusively in screen acting. They are developed and taught by some of the most highly qualified and acclaimed actors, directors and master teachers from Australia and around the world.

Our programs are crafted in close consultation with industry.

16th Street Films is committed to the collaborative development of feature films and television projects.

We are on a mission to initiate exciting films and nurture the creativity of Australian filmmakers here on our own soil, through the independent production of high-quality, low-budget feature films that have broad audience appeal.

Our full-time acting program has a focus on collaborative development of film projects and offers personal mentorship with industry professionals. As such, a large cross-over exists between our acting studio and production company whereby we bring our ensemble of actors together with experienced writers, directors and producers.
