Ashley Wain is an accomplished actor, director and teacher who has trained at the Victorian College of the Arts and has a PhD from the University of Western Sydney focus on acting. He headed the Acting Program at Charles Sturt University and was head of acting at AIDA New York. Among his many positions, Ashley has taught at the VCA, the National Theatre Drama School, the University of Ballarat, the University of New South Wales. Ashley has spent many years practicing his dynamic method of work. He has trained extensively with Russian Master acting teacher Leonid Verzub, a student of Maria Knebel who in turn was the acting protege of Konstantin Stanislavski himself. |

Ashley’s directing credits include Palaces in Ruin, devised with his own company in Melbourne, Agamemnon for the University of Ballarat and The Cherry Orchard, Orpheus Descending and Platonov: a fragment at Charles Sturt University. His writings have appeared in the International Journal of Transpersonal Studies, Didaskalia, The Inner Door, and Radical Spirit, an anthology of essays by young writers |
