Jamie Zamudio

Jamie has worked in the entertainment and media industry for over 12 years. He is the Co-Director of 16th Street Films and the Managing Director of 16th Street Acting Studio.

He trained at NIDA (Young Actors Studio) and Atlantic Theatre School in New York and holds a Bachelor of Communications having studied journalism in both Australia (Ossie Award Winner) and San Diego (USA).

He also undertook post-graduate studies in screenwriting at the prestigious UCLA (USA).

Jamie has worked as a researcher, film reviewer and on-air announcer and was an Assistant Producer on a popular daily arts program The Lounge on PBS (USA) producing many content hours featuring some of the biggest names in America’s arts and entertainment industries.

Jamie has taught radio and television broadcasting for five years at The University of Western Sydney where he trained many young journalists currently rising through the ranks of the Australian media.

He has also worked as a consultant having conducted development programs in Cambodia using radio broadcasts and radio dramas as an education resource.

He recently produced a television pilot of a light entertainment interview program In Conversation With which profiles famous Australian actors. Jamie is currently in pre-production on the feature Outlaw Joe and has two other feature films and a US television pilot in development.
