“I was so afraid and awestruck at what the actors were doing that I didn’t utter a word. And even in this moment of abject fear and total failure, I found it to be thrilling to be on the Groundlings stage. I then knew I wanted to be a comedic actor.”
Will Ferrell, Groundlings Alumni

“The Groundlings Theatre in LA had a massive impact on me. It’s hard. They don’t pull any punches. They tell you what you’re doing isn’t working and why it’s not. But I think you take all your punches and you learn not to be so precious about it. So when you finally get the opportunity to get a job and work, you just keep trying things. If somebody doesn’t like it, it’s great, throw it away and try something else. It makes you open up and be more pliable. I think that’s a big part of why so many from there have had success, they’re game.”
