Discover the joy of holding an audience in the palm of your hand. And experience the satisfaction of giving a dynamic and memorable performance. If you wish to be an actor who can do it all, dive into the world of Shakespeare.
This workshop will give you the opportunity to express everything about the human experience, from tragedy to comedy. From the romance of Romeo & Juliet to the whimsy of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
This is an opportunity to find your voice and confidence in your ability to play with the greats.
In this Workshop:
Young artists will be introduced to the language, stories, characters, and ideas in Shakespeare’s plays in imaginative and playful ways. Actors will explore the Bard’s famous words physically, emotionally and intellectually, and get a taste for the vibrant, chaotic and beautiful world of Elizabethan theatre. Each session will involve warm-ups, understanding Shakespeare’s language, tips for getting into character, making choices in acting and having fun with performance. There will be plenty of opportunities to perform and play scenes, trying out different styles and approaches.
