BACKGROUND

Darcy Kent is a graduate of the 16th Street Actors Studio, and a recipient of the inaugural Lindis Krejus Scholarship from the Pegasus Foundation, which allowed him to study at Shakespeare & Company in Massachusetts, USA. Darcy is also a graduate of The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in the UK, where he completed his Masters in Classical Acting. His most recent work includes Spreadsheet on Paramount+, New Gold Mountain for SBS, When The Rain Stops Falling (Iron Lung, Theatreworks), the national tour of Lamb (Red Stitch/Critical Stages), as well as performing at the Pop Up Globe in productions of Romeo and Juliet and Much Ado About Nothing in 2019.

He is also a Red Stitch ensemble member, and has appeared in both Desert 6.29pm and The Antipodes. His other theatre credits include Hamlet (Directed by Iain Sinclair), Romeo and Juliet and Much Ado about Nothing, (which both toured China with the Australian International Opera Company), Seminar (Artefact Theatre, Chapel Off Chapel), and The Servant of Two Masters (La Mama, Make a Scene). Other film and TV credits include Offspring, Neighbours, feature film The Surrogate as well as a host of short films including Baby Boy (Mullane Bros.) and Alf in A Birthday Party (Swagman Films), which was recently selected for both Sydney Film Festival and Melbourne International Film Festival.
