FILMMAKING

WITH AWARD-WINNING DIRECTOR, SIAN DAVIES

How do you take a script from page to screen with truth, tension and visual clarity? Over four days, acclaimed filmmaker Sian Davies (director of Black Snow, The Twelve, Wentworth) leads a deep dive into the craft of filmmaking, designed for emerging directors and actor/directors ready to sharpen their technical skills.

This masterclass bridges the gap between text, performance and screen language. Through scene work, analysis, case studies and on-set practice with a professional cinematographer, participants will step into the full spectrum of the filmmaker’s role: story, performance, visual grammar, and collaboration. Exercise your skills both in front of and behind the camera.

"Sian represents a true rejection of the idea that a director ever needs to create an unsafe environment in order to achieve their goals. Working with Sian is a celebration of the fact that the creative process can (and should) be a whole lot of fun, and ultimately result in work of the highest calibre."
