Laura Ozzimo is a director, dramaturg and actor based in Naarm/Melbourne. Laura holds a Bachelor of Creative Arts with Distinction, majoring in Drama (2021).

During our Directors Apprenticeship, Laura worked on Melbourne Theatre Company’s ‘West Gate’ as Assistant Director to Iain Sinclair “Absolutely compelling from start to finish” - The Scoop. Laura was also attached to Red Stitch Actors’ Theatre ‘The Doll Trilogy’ “A triumph... the theatrical event of the year... grand, moving and unforgettable”. - Australian Arts Review.

For her graduating piece Laura directs Freak by Anna Jordan. The play delves into sexuality, femininity and the struggles women face while navigating these aspects of life. This production aims to capture the societal pressures placed on women while maintaining the sharp humour present in Jordan’s writing, creating a performance that is both confronting and thought-provoking.
