Catherine graduated from NIDA in 1985 and her career has spanned nearly 30 years in Theatre, Film and Television.
Her first on screen appearance was in the 1986 telemovie My Brother Tom.
In 1990 Catherine won her first AFI for her performance in the movie Weekend with Kate.
In 1996 she landed the role of Detective Rachel Goldstein in police drama, Water Rats alongside her Weekend with Kate co-star Colin Friels.
Catherine’s TV credits include some of Australia’s most well known drama’s including, Tangle, The Secret Life of Us and Rush.
The Secret Life of Us earned Catherine her second AFI for Best Actress in a Guest Role and she received her third AFI and two ASTRA awards for her portrayal of Christine Williams in Tangle.
Catherine is also an accomplished stage Actress who has appeared in multiple stage productions for Melbourne Theatre Company, Sydney Theatre Company, Bell Shakespeare and Malthouse Theatre. She received a Green Room nomination for her role as Harper in Angels in America and a Helpmann Award nomination for her portrayal of Martha in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf?
